The work is composed of mirrored shelves salvaged from a recently closed patisserie in central Turin. The reflective surfaces, once displays for ephemeral sweetness, now function as archaeological fragments or portals between temporalities. Along their upper edge, Leotta arranges fragments of artifacts unearthed near ancient Greek and Archaic–Siceliote settlements, establishing a dialogue between contemporary ruins and ancient material traces. The mirrors act as both threshold and support, reflecting a landscape that unfolds in time — a theatre of images suspended between disappearance and persistence. Through this assemblage, Leotta transforms the domestic and the historical into a shared surface of memory, where the sweetness of everyday life and the depth of the Mediterranean past converge in quiet equilibrium.
